Personal Accountz app

Postby tdj » Mon Jun 14, 2010 9:14 am

Hi

Does anyone know why the the PAZ installer puts a copy of PersonalAccountz.app and a copy of 'Home Demo File.azh' in the 'user'/library/preferences folder?

Obviously the main app is in my Applications folder so don't understand why it's here also (the installer definitely puts them in there, it's not me doing it). Can I just delete them?

Thanks
Tim

I've got one too, in the same place! Also it is an early version, 1.9.1.15 - so I would definitely delete it!

The proper version (1.10.2.9) is in:-
/Applications/Personal Accountz/PersonalAccountz.app

The only other file that Paz creates (apart from ordinary user files) is pa6Config.txt that should be in:-
/Users/<your name>/Library/Application Support/PersonalAccountz/pa6Config.txt

I just re-installed the current dmg and that spurious version did not appear - so it must have been put there by an earlier installer?

Accountz.com have been informed.

Get the latest install from here:

Hi Rob

Mine too was that same version so I have deleted it now.

.... although I have just taken advantage of the half price Home Accountz upgrade so my days with PAZ may now be limited (I just hope I love using HAZ just as much!) Either way, the great support and speed of maintenance updates will no doubt be just as good!

Thanks

Before transferring your existing Paz files to Haz, please wait a day or two until the next upgrade is available because a new Paz-to-Haz option will be included that is currently missing. (Currently, importing Paz files is done via OFX in Haz and this a bit of a bodge - and time-consuming) so it is best to wait a few days and then install the next update of Haz and then import your Paz files.

Keep an eye on the Haz forum:-
