Chart of Accounts

Code Account Name Although the codes used here are a single character, the majority of real world applications use a numeric code broken down into account types, eg:
  • 1000-1999=Assets
  • 2000-2999=Liabilities
  • 3000-3999=Equity
  • 4000-4999=Revenue
  • 5000-5999=Expense
B Bank
C Cash
E Expenses
R Revenue

The above is your chart of accounts. Remember the codes for each account (tip: the code is the first letter of the account's name). The next page will take you to your first transaction.
